Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is the delivery of government benefit funds such as Food Stamps, Aid to Families with Dependant Children (AFDC), and Social Security via electronic means. EBT uses delivery mechanisms such as magnetic strip cards, like the one on the left used in Indiana and many more states below, and smart cards that work like a debit card. WPS can set up businesses to accept EBT cards through our processing partner's network on BUYPASS® or TSYS (Vital). WPS's BUYPASS® or TSYS (Vital) EBT programs work on many of our terminals allowing merchants to offer this form of payment to their customers.
