WPS has a direct relationship with American Express® and Discover® this allows WPS to directly access and setup new accounts for merchants who choose to accept these additional cards. American Express® and Discover® are included on the WPS Integrated Merchant Application and once approved, WPS programs the merchants POS software or equipment and processes these transactions for the merchant. In addition, WPS also processes JCB®, Diners Club®, Voyager® and Wright Express® cards.

Pin-based debit transactions are transactions where a consumer is required to enter his or her four-digit personal identification number or PIN, much like an Automated Teller Transaction ATM, except at the point of sale. Pin-based debit transactions allow merchants to accept bank-issued ATM cards as well; these are cards that are not branded with the VISA® or MasterCard® logos. Pin-based transactions function on-line as a direct debit authorization and capture from either a personal or business checking or savings account. Pin-based transactions carry a flat transaction fee verses that of a credit card transaction which carries a percentage rate and transaction fee. Merchants who accept pin-based debit, accept the most secure form of payment with often times the lowest possible cost of any card-based sale. Pin-based transactions also allow the merchant to offer cash back to the consumer if they so choose. WPS supports all major debit networks allowing merchants to take advantage of this more secure and lower cost transaction. The new electronic re-presentment rules (RCK) allow businesses to substantially improve the collection process by electronically re-presenting NSF check items. Electronic re-presentment is not only more efficient for the business, but is also easier on the customer as it reduces the amount of time and effort involved in resolving a returned item. By utilizing the RCK processing on returned items, you may see 25% to 35% increase over conventional collection methods. Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is the delivery of government benefit funds such as Food Stamps, Aid to Families with Dependant Children (AFDC), and Social Security via electronic means. EBT uses delivery mechanisms such as magnetic strip cards, like the one on the left used in Indiana, and smart cards that work like a debit card. WPS can set up businesses to accept EBT cards through our processing partner's network on BUYPASS® or TSYS (Vital). WPS's BUYPASS® or TSYS (Vital) EBT programs work on many of our terminals allowing merchants to offer this form of payment to their customers.

The ViVOpay® 4500m allows merchants to simplify check-out and deliver customers advanced contactless programs. Purchasing @dvantage PC Plus® is designed for suppliers who accept both consumer and commercial cards and authorize transactions through their PCs. It enables suppliers to provide line item detail such as purchase order numbers, part numbers, item descriptions, unit prices, item quantities, or American Express® charge descriptions to their corporate customers for commercial card transactions. The line-item detail is sent through the MasterCard® and Visa® issuing banks and then on to the corporate customers. Charge descriptors are entered as order comments and sent to American Express during the settlement process. The supplier is reimbursed in a timely manner (usually two-three business days), qualifies for lowest possible interchange rates, and provides value-added information to customers. Skipjack® provides a robust gateway solution enabling merchants to process credit cards via the Internet. A merchant can easily connect its website to Skipjack via a simple API or use the Virtual Terminal feature for both card not present as well as swiped transaction processing. Retail swiped transactions can be processed with a card reader attached to a PC, available through WPS Sales Office. 

In contrast to other gateway providers, Skipjack's features are included in the base price of the service. Because mobile merchants have special needs, WPS has integrated wireless credit card processing into the bundle of services we offer. The Way Systems MTT1510® is the all-in-one wireless solution for the mobile merchant. This system allows for authorization and capture of the full magnetic-strip on the consumers card thus allowing for the best-qualified rates. This system combines low-cost mobile phone technologies with the capabilities of a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The MTT1510® also has a small, lightweight, easy-to-use printer that allows for a signed receipt at the time of sale. WPS also offers the Nurit® 8020 wireless unit and the Verifone® Vx610 wireless unit, which function on the GPRS network and provides similar processing capabilities with the addition of wireless on-line debit transactions.

WPS offers in-house terminal programming and support. We program and ship our merchant equipment from within our office ensuring that the merchant is up and processing smoothly. WPS also offers two different service packages to merchants. The standard service package covers all papers and supplies and the gold service package adds overnight terminal replacement. Should a merchant ever have a problem with his or her equipment they simply call in to our 24/7/365 customer service department and we will ship them a new unit to replace the defective unit next day air as long as they process with us whether the merchant purchased the equipment from us or not.
